Skimlinks takes all the hard work out of earning revenue using affiliate marketing. Once our code is installed on your site, you can add natural, unadulterated links to any of the thousands of merchant sites we work with, safe in the knowledge that Skimlinks will add the relevant tracking information to ensure you are properly credited for any resulting sales.
When one of your users clicks on any external link on your site, Skimlinks will briefly redirect them through our servers. At this point, Skimlinks performs a dynamic check to see if we have an affiliate relationship with the site you are linking to. If we do, then Skimlinks adds the necessary tracking information and sends your user to the linked-to page. If we don't have a relationship with a particular site, the user will be redirected to the intended page as normal. This dynamic check happens in about 200ms, so your users will not notice anything unless they are looking extremely carefully!
If the traffic you send to participating merchant results in a sale, we receive a commission payment from the relevant affiliate network, and assign the appropriate funds to your Skimlinks account.
Skimlinks keeps up to date with any changes a merchant may make to their affiliate program by synchronizing each night. If a program changes its tracking structure, or closes down, you won't have to make any changes on your end: Skimlinks takes care of it all and keeps all your links up-to-date.
