Skimlinks Special Target Parameter

Skimlinks respects the target of all links on your site. If your links have a valid target set Skimlinks will obey them, if not Skimlinks will open the link in the same window. To prevent this you can use the Skimlinks special target parameter.

To enable all links to open a new window you can add our special target parameter. This will force all external links to have the target you specify.

The target paramater is var skimlinks_target = '_blank'; this needs to added between var skimlinks_pub_id = '329X515'; and skimlinks(); The "_blank" can be changed to any type of valid taget you would like such as "_self" or "_parent" but you should leave it as "_blank" for a new window.

The code below already contains the target parameter for convenience:

<script type="text/javascript">

var skimlinks_target = "_blank";

</script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="//s.skimresources.com/js/[YOUR JS ADDRESS].skimlinks.js"></script>
