Installing Skimlinks using Javascript

To start using Skimlinks you will need to install the javascript, please follow the below instructions to install the Javascript on your website.

1) Visit https://hub.skimlinks.com/setup/install and copy the unique Javascript code snippet into your site template just before the </body> tag. This tag is at the very end of your page, probably in your footer.

<script type="text/javascript" src="//s.skimresources.com/js/12345X1234567.skimlinks.js"></script>
Copy

Here's how it should look -

<div id="footer">
Skimbit Ltd. © 2013 |
<a href="/privacy">Privacy Policy |
<a href="/press">Press |
<a href="/contact">Contact Us</a>
</div>

<script type="text/javascript" src="//s.skimresources.com/js/12345X1234567.skimlinks.js"></script>

</body>

</html>

*You must use a different unique Javascript code snippet for each site.*

Once the code is installed on your site, Skimlinks will start working immediately. Customization settings will take effect a short time after being saved.

2) Copy the code snippet and place it anywhere on your site. If you've only installed Skimlinks on certain pages, add this link to one of those pages.

<a href="http://test.skimlinks.com">Skimlinks Test</a>

Open your page in any browser and click on 'Skimlinks Test.'

If you arrive on the Success page Skimlinks is running on your page!

If you arrive on the Error page, make sure you have followed part 1 by putting the code snippet in the correct place, you can follow this guide to manually check Skimlinks is working - https://skimlinks.zendesk.com/knowledge/articles/223835628/en-us?brand_id=3280906&return_to=%2Fhc%2Fen-us%2Farticles%2F223835628
