Starting March 31st 2026 we’re removing support for custom subdomains (CNAME) within redirect URLs (e.g, go.publisherdomain.com). As we make improvements to our routing and tracking infrastructure, all publishers will need to use the standard Skimlinks redirect format (go.skimresources.com).
This article explains the steps you need to take to disable your custom subdomain if you’re monetizing with the Skimlinks JavaScript or LinkWrapper. If you monetize with both, make sure you disable the custom subdomain for each tool.
In order to continue earning commissions from your content, please disable your custom subdomain before March 31st 2026.
How to disable your Custom Subdomain:
Disabling the JavaScript Custom Subdomain:
- Go to Advanced Settings in the Publisher Hub
- Select your domain from the dropdown
- Click Customize
- Set Custom Subdomain to Off
- Repeat for any other domains you have JavaScript enabled on
Disabling the LinkWrapper Custom Subdomain:
Exact steps will depend on your website set-up, but it’s important that you update links in existing and future content from your custom subdomain to go.skimresources.com. This should be confirmed prior to removing the CNAME on the custom subdomain.
