This page teaches how to install Skimlinks on a Drupal website using Skimlinks’ module. Click here in case you prefer to install Skimlinks’ pasting our javascript on your website source code directly.
1.Download Skimlinks’ module for Drupal 8
2.Log into your Drupal website as an admin
3.Navigate to the tab “Extend” and select the option “Install new module”
4.Select the file you just downloaded from Drupal’s repository hit Install
5.Once the installation is complete you should “enable newly added modules”
6.From the list of available modules, select Skimlinks and hit Install
7.Now that the Skimlinks module is enabled, click on “Please configure the Skimlinks module.” This page can also be accessed from the menu Configuration > Web Services > Skimlinks
8.Copy your Domain ID from Skimlinks’ Setup page. You can copy it from our traditional javascript code. The screenshot below shows the relevant part.
9.Paste the code and save the configuration. If you don’t want to use a custom subdomain redirect, leave the 2nd option as it is.
10.You are all set! You can now test your installation to see if Skimlinks is working correctly on your website.
